Case description

Structure characteristic:

SCP horizontal biaxial reactor is mainly aimed at the requirements of dispersion mixing, shear kneading, heat transfer and evaporation, devolatilization and drying in the process of high viscosity melt and liquid processing. Equipped with high torque gear box to solve the torque problem in the processing of high viscosity materials; With a special rotor structure design, the two rotors mesh with each other and rotate at medium speed to provide strong mixing while driving forward movement of materials, including high viscosity materials; The working volume and heat transfer surface of the barrel are large, and the heat transfer surface has self-scaling function. It can be equipped with vacuum pumping device, which can be used to extract volatile matter such as solvent, moisture, gas and so on. The special sealing device at both ends of the rotor increases the vacuum degree, prevents the air from entering, and further improves the devolatilization effect.


Equipment advantage:

  1. The effective self-cleaning of the rotor can minimize the dead zone and reduce the decomposition caused by the long stay of the material.

  2. The rotor structure has the characteristics of flexible kneading and low shear force, which can effectively prevent the material from decomposing and make the material mix evenly at the same time.

  3. Rotor surface renewal efficiency is high, which is beneficial to remove solvent, monomer and other volatilization to from high viscosity polymer, increasing polymerization, devolatilization and drying effect.

  4. Larger effective volume and free space of gas phase can still maintain good devolatilization effect and large yield in high solvent content devolatilization.

  5. The barrel has a larger heat transfer area, at the same time, adopts heat medium heating, the temperature control is accurate and uniform.


Main application:

SCP horizontal biaxial reactor has better mixing and kneading ability, more effective self-cleaning and more efficient surface renewal characteristics, can be combined with a variety of processes, such as heating, drying, melting, crystallization, mixing, devolatilization, etc. All processes can be completed continuously or in batches with upstream and downstream equipment. It is mainly used in polymer, synthetic rubber and elastomer, chemical pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical products, spinning, food, printing ink and other industries.

Several major processes and typical products are as follows:

Devolatilization and recovery of solvent:

The material used for high-viscosity and large-volume content, such as solvent content reach 80-90%, and devolatilization to less than 1%. The common solvents are methyl methacrylate, styrene, hexane, dimethyl acetamide, chlorobenzene, etc. The main application industries are: chemical pharmaceutical, coating, polymer, synthetic rubber, adhesive and sealant and other industries.


Bulk polymerization:

Used for bulk polymerization, such as polyacrylate, hydrogel, polyol, thermoplastic polymer, various synthetic rubber, etc.

Condensation polymerization:

Used for Polycondensation. It can be used in polyamide, polyester, polyacetate, polyimide, thermoplastic material, elastomer, silicone resin and other products.

Evaporation drying:

Materials for drying aqueous or solvent in a vacuum environment are mainly applied to pigments, dyes, fine chemicals, additives, temperature-sensitive materials, polymers, synthetic rubbers, latex, hydrogels, beeswax, pesticides, and residues in chemical or pharmaceutical production.

Dissolution and Swelling: SCP horizontal biaxial reactor converts raw materials and solvents into viscous, uniform spinning slurry, and further completes the post-treatment process such as defoaming, which can produce high quality spinning slurry. It is mainly used in ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber, Lysaire fiber, aramid fiber and so on.
